Celebrating our 48th Annual Gala
Friday, November 5, 2021
Please join your friends at La Raza Centro Legal for our 48th annual — and second virtual — gala, where we will celebrate another year of protecting and advocating for the legal and human rights of our community members. We will be honoring our staff, partners, and volunteers for their unwavering dedication to providing the immigrant community with free legal services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic thus ensuring that justice remained essential.
The gala is our most important fundraising event every year. This hour in November will sustain our work for the next 12 months. If you don’t think you can join us, please consider making a donation so that justice remains essential all year long!
Save the date because you won’t want to miss it! Admission is 100% free and unlimited.
Celebrate with us!
We have an eventful evening planned with multiple special guests including our keynote speaker, Sonia Nazario, author of “Enrique’s Journey.” She is an award-winning journalist whose stories have tackled some of this country’s most intractable issues — hunger, drug addiction, immigration — and have won some of the most prestigious journalism and book awards, including two Pulitzer Prizes.
Nazario, who grew up in Kansas and in Argentina, has written extensively from Latin America and about Latinos in the United States. In 2020, Parade Magazine named Nazario one of “50+ Most Influential Latin-American Women in History.” We are honored to have her with us.
We hope you can attend online at 6:00 p.m. PST on Friday, November 5. Thank you for your support! We look forward to seeing you all there!
