The San Francisco Day Labor Program invites you to try our Women's Collective's experienced janitors. Imagine walking through an office free of dust and clutter, with sparkling windows, and an immaculate bathroom or kitchenette. A clean office contributes to a positive working environment.
Now picture this top-notch cleaning performed by highly skilled women janitors who have organized to empower themselves and their families, while providing the highest quality service at extremely affordable prices. An ideal combination, yes?
The Women's Collective is a cooperative run by and for primarily immigrant women workers. Women involved in the Collective have extensive cleaning experience and references from satisfied employers testifying to their high-quality services. Our prices range from $11-17 per hour, depending on the intensity and requirements of the job, with a minimum of $42 per day. We can negotiate a rate that is comfortable for both employer and employee.
Because the Collective is participant-run and non-profit, women keep all of their earnings, instead of giving a cut to an agency as they would in for-profit companies. Employers pay the workers directly at the end of the job.
